Bob Jones V @ Florence V

The Florence Falcons undefeated record was put on the line yet again Monday night when the Bob Jones Patriots came to town for section match.  Bob Jones jumped up 1-0 in the first half and increased their lead to 2-0 after a second half goal.  Signs of life came late for the Falcons when Trey Moore rushed in and was fouled in the penalty box by the Bob Jones keeper.  The result was a late goal scored by Aaron Garfrerick off of a penalty kick to narrow the gap to a 2-1 score.  The Falcons gave a tremendous effort in the closing minutes, but were held off by Bob Jones in the 2-1 loss.  Bob Jones had trouble all evening with goalkeepers Connor Fisher and Austin Summerhill who had 10 saves combined.  Defensively for Florence, Chad Elkaffas and Duncan McKinney played outstanding games to keep Florence close.  Florence's record is now 8-1-1 with a 3-1 area record.  They will travel to Sparkman on Thursday to challenge the Sparkman Senators in another section match.
